Mac Makeup -------------------
There are a lot of web sites out there
offering the perfect tips for applying your prom make up. If you browse for
a while, you will find that the advice found online varies from site to site
and is often conflicting. With information coming from all different
directions, choosing exactly what make up advice to follow and what to
ignore can be confusing. The most important thing to remember is that advice
is just that: advice. You can take it, leave it, or customize it to fit your
personality and tastes. When it comes to prom make up, the most critical
choice you need to make regards color selection. Choose colors that
compliment your skin tone and style. Do not choose eye colors because they
match your dress. Instead choose neutral colors that highlight your eyes.
Keep colors light and neutral so your natural beauty can shine through.
Wearing too much make up often looks worse than wearing none at all.
Purchase a good foundation. The right foundation, although maybe a bit more
costly than what you normally spend, is the key to creating a beautiful,
flawless face. Go to a professional make up counter for this one purchase,
and have the sales representative recommend the perfect foundation for your
skin condition and tone. After purchasing the foundation, leave. Shadows,
blushes, liners, powders and lipstick can be purchased a lot cheaper
somewhere else. Make sure that you have a good selection of applicators
including a powder brush, blush brush, eye shadow brush, sponges and eyebrow
comb. I've found that using brushes for applying colors, such as eye shadow,
is much simpler. The color goes on smoothly and blends easily. It is very
hard to achieve garish eyes using a brush applicator. I can not over
emphasize the importance of cosmetic powder on prom night. Liberally
applying powder immediately after the foundation will insure that your
chosen eye and cheek colors stay put. Also remember to take powder with you
so you can keep your face looking fresh and touch up any shiny spots that
may develop throughout the evening. For long lasting color follow these
tips: Eyes: Apply conceal to the lid of the eye and coat generously with
powder before applying your eye shadow. This base will keep your color in
place and vibrant throughout your special night. Lips: Using a lip liner
similar in color to your lipstick, cover the entire surface of the lip, not
just the outline, before applying lipstick. Once lipstick has been applied,
coat with a fine dusting of powder to set in place. Note: Do not use long
lasting lip color unless you are going to add a top coat of gloss. As a
rule, long lasting lip color is dry in nature and will settle into fine
lines and crevices before the end of the night. Remember, prom night is
about being yourself, spending time with your friends, and making memories.
Don't spend too much time or energy stressing out over achieving the perfect
look. Have Fun!
