Formal Wear---------------------
Party and Special Occasion Wear with mix of embroidery and specialty work.
Shalwar: A flared form of trousers, gathered at the waist in pleated format which falls gracefully and is worn under a long
blouse. The top of the Shalwar has a belt area which sometimes has an elasticized back for ease of movement or a drawstring
to tie around your waste (similar to track suit bottoms). The ankle region of the Shalwar (paincha) may be accentuated with
embroidery,
Kurta: A looser version of the fitted Kameez. This is an A-lined shirt that has bias cut panels on each side at the front and back. The Kurta may also have side splits for ease of movement. The Kurta is generally below the knee in length and may be worn with trouser garments such as the Shalwar, pajama, churridar or Laacha.
